The House That Boredom Built

Yesterday was my introduction to the wonders of Google Applications, I spent most of yesterday messing around with Picasa. So today I figured I would go check out what other exciting free products they have to fool around with. I have found the perfect app for me, some of you might know that I plan on going to college for Computer Aided Drafting. What you do is you draw up complete House,Building, and even Landscape designs or floor plans using a computer and the very expensive program AutoCAD. I have been kinda preparing for this since freshman year in high school because I took Drafting I,II, and III so i know my way around ACAD... well 2005's version anyway. But back to the app, it is called SketchUp and it enables you to create 3D models of pretty much anything you can imagine. As you can see in the post before this one I have been playing around with it and trying to figure it out. Thats pretty much how I wanted to open this so without further ado I give you My Day.

I will save you the explanation of how I was woken up because I seem to be developing a pattern and it's starting to get boring, so i'll start with what time I woke up it was around 11 when I decided to stumble out of bed and with my mom leaving for the day I knew that I would be alone to sit on the computer all day with no distruption. I started my day of computer goodness the way I always do, with an episode of House. After the 42 or something minutes of commercial free House I decided to go do my daily surfing. When I checked myspace I saw that Chris was excited about something because the title of the bulletin was "THANK GOD!!" and since he really doesnt believe in him I knew it must be good. In the bulletin it said that Myspace had finally updated their music portal which I have been waiting for. So as soon as I was done reading I went directly to make a playlist to flaunt on my Mysapce. The playlist consists of mostly AAR and a little bit of Every Avenue sprinkled in for some extra flavor LOL. At about the time I finished it was 2:00 which meant I only had about a half an hour until my peace and quiet was gone so I immediately started a new episode of House which so happened to be the season 3 finale which also means I have burned through all 4 seasons in like a month, I guess thats what happens when you have no life. Anyway when my sister came home she brought with her probably one of the most annoying of her friends, i'm not going to name her cause she doesnt deserve acknowledgement. So I decided to go outside and get my daily excercise, I was out there playing basketball for like 45 minutes and decided to come back inside so that I could start messing around with SketchUp. It's and amazing little program that is so simple to use, I had virtually no problem as I started to create a 3d model of a common looking house. As I was delightfully playing around it got me thinking about my old Drafting days and the program we used to use AutoCAD. I was wondering how could I get my hands on a program worth over $300 dollars. Then I asked myself WWHD (What Would Hays Do) and it was like a cliche lightbulb... I can just pirate it!!!! So I went scouring into the depths of PirateBay looking for my proverbial program gold. When alas I found one (AutoCAD 2009 which I dont think is out yet) with no viruses and easy instructions so I downloaded it right away. As soon as it was done I installed it and used a keygen to access the chest of Drafting goodness. As soon as I started poking around I quickly found myself confused and irritated that I couldnt remember or figure out how to setup an Architectural drawing. So I came up with a great plan, I emailed my old Drafting teacher and asked if he could send me a copy of the instructions we used to setup our drawings in the class. The only disheartening thing about this is that I have to wait til tomorrow before I can even get started on designing a house. So after I got over the heartbreak I realized it was 8:55 so i rushed to my room and turned on good ol' Supernatural. The episode was a great one like the one last week, and it seems like the show is gonna get very EPIC this season. Dont get me wrong all the seasons have been great ones but you dont get bigger than the Apocalypse and GOD V. LUCIFER. so I cant wait for the rest of this season to unfold.

Also one last thing tomorrow is a big day, a possibly life changing one. I have a job interview at a restaurant so wish me luck cause I need a job soon or I dont know what im going to do :(

And with that I'm off to see the wizard the wonder.... I mean off to bed so Good Night and pleasant dreams and again

Peace Out.

WWHD? That's brilliant, and I love it! I think the only variant I have used is WWNPHD (Neil Patrick Harris). Oh and yes, that music update was big enough for me to use the "G" word in a bulletin title. I knew you would be the first person to have new songs added. Sure enough, only an hour or so later I saw in the mini feed that you had bunches of new songs. It made choosing them slightly easier at least.

yea I thought you would like that hahahaha and yea as soon as I saw that they updated I was like yay now I can make a playlist in myspace without using some outside source and like I said as soon as I read the "G" word I got excited cause you don't throw that around often LOL
